A. The Town is governed by a mayor and six (6) councilmembers. B. The term of office for mayor shall be four (4) years. C. The term of office for councilmembers shall be four (4) years. D. To be eligible for the office of mayor or as a member of the council, a candidate shall be a qualified elector of the municipality. E. All regular council elections shall be held at the general election in November in each odd-numbered year. F. The Town observes the plurality method by which election results are determined in the nonpartisan elections in Due West.
